Have you seen that sushi and teriyaki place attached to the Shell station in Pine Lake? It looks like it's a part of the Shell station, but it's not--they aren't connected as far as I can see.Bento House is a darling little restaurant with an odd location. Bento House serves sushi rolls, nigiri, noodles, teriyaki and other typical Japanese dishes. You can get some decent rolls for a bargain since many of them have been "on sale" for the past six months.
The small space is decorated nicely with several small tables and enough high chairs if you want to bring your little ones. The women who run this little known eatery are eager to please. The first time we got take out from Bento House, we got it two other times that week.
When you dine in, you'll get some yummy miso soup to start every meal and good service. Listen, it's not the best teriyaki or sushi I've had in my life. But, it is the best in Sammamish -- pretty yummy.
This Japanese cafe seems to be struggling and I want it to stay! Pay them a visit the next time you have a hankering for sushi or teriyaki and don't want to leave the Plateau.

we took the family one night when neither of us felt like cooking and i totally agree it's NOT the best teriyaki or sushi. our miso bowls were served to us not even half full, i thought it was over priced for the quality of food and was kinda shocked when i took the kids to the rest room to find that it shares the gas station bathroom.
we love sammamish but our town could definitely use some good restaurants!
The yakisoba's are amazing though! I really disagree with anonymous that it's overpriced too, I got my full yakisoba (which is pretty big too) for just 7 bucks! Not to mention I haven't been able to stop eating them, they're so good. I don't know about the sushi (never really liked sushi so i'm not a good judge) but the yakisoba is the best I've had in a long time. Definitely support this place!!
bento house is a good restaurant in a bad location. speaking as one who has lived in japan and is returning there in a few months, it has the best Japanese food in sammammish--it far exceeds any of the other teriyaki stores. i would recommend bento house to anyone!
